International Symposium: Cultural variety in Europe: policy and practice

The aim of this International Symposium is to disseminate and share the findings of the European research-project “CULTPLAN – Planning as Culture in Europe” ; to arise the awareness of INTERREG causing cultural dynamics and to valorize INTERREG experiences with cross cultural cooperation with respect to the cultural strategy of the EU.
Seminar on the theme of « Borders, languages and education »
This seminar took place on the 4th and 5th of July in Metz (France) and aims at analyzing the question of trans-border and multilingual education. The goal is to put together researchers who could bring a lightening on what is going on in the different French border regions.
This question will be addressed under sociolinguistic, didactic and political points of view. This seminar will be hold in cooperation with a geography conference entitled Frontiers and urban development which will take place in Metz on the 6th and 7th of July.

Course on project development, EU and the new programmes
Nordregio Academy (Nordic centre for spatial development established by the Nordic Council of Ministers), together with together with the Swedish and Norwegian Local authorities associations will be offering a mini-course for regional practitioners. This course addresses to practitioners who are still not well acquainted with the new programmes and their constraints.
